The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Svaneholm IK's zone, Sören Pedersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Henriksson came out of the goal and Sören Pedersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roger Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 19 minutes, Mårten Lindmark mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Svaneholm IK and the Stocka IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mårten Lindmark kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Malcolm Johansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mårten Lindmark, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Pedersson in the 24th minute of play forced Svaneholm IK's goalkeeper Sven Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Stocka IFK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ted Haegg hit a great ball. Lars Igelström kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Sören Pedersson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Stocka IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sören Pedersson couldn't finish the play. Sven Henriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Haegg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Haegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sven Henriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Svaneholm IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Haegg came free, but Sven Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Haegg in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Henriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mårten Lindmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Malcolm Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Svaneholm IK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stocka IFK were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mårten Lindmark to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Haegg in the 55th minute of play forced Svaneholm IK's goalkeeper Sven Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59thth minute of the game Lars Igelström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Svaneholm IK's Sven Henriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Sören Pedersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Henriksson made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Sören Pedersson sent off a good shot on target. Sören Pedersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Sören Pedersson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Sören Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Henriksson having to interfere. Svaneholm IK's Albin Jakobsson got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven Henriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Pedersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lars Igelström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Henriksson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sören Pedersson got free with Sven Henriksson in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
