The referee showed Nils Lindberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Trekanten got a freekick which was hit by Nils Lindberg. The audience was convinced that Matthias Forssberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joachim Frisck was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The supporters of Trekanten booed when Mellösa IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Bergfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Joachim Frisck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trekanten. Per Bergfelt kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mellösa IFK's zone, Nils Lindberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Sven-Edvin Christoffersson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joachim Frisck. After 67 minutes, Olov Berglund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mellösa IFK and the Trekanten players grew even worse after the yellow card. 77 minutes into the game, Folke Käller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joachim Frisck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trekanten's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Edvin Christoffersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
