After having played for 9 minutes, Östen Stenström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Väring's supporters crossed their fingers, but Östen Stenström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Pär Björkdahl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Väring fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thor Sjöberg lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Väring's Ulf Gummeson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Väring from getting a goal against them. Peder Fridlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Väring's goalkeeper Ulf Gummeson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Ekeroth. Bullmark BK's Niklas Ferm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Fridlund in the 30th minute of play. Östen Stenström kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ulf Gummeson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jan-Olof Malmström. Jakob Harman charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jakob Harman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Emil Bäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Väring's Peder Fridlund got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georg Olofsson made a kick off. Peder Fridlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Ekeroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ulf Gummeson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Olofsson in the 57th minute of play forced Väring's goalkeeper Ulf Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Östen Stenström during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute Georg Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Gummeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Gummeson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Olofsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Peder Fridlund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Niklas Ferm. Peder Fridlund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 72nd minute Georg Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Gummeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Georg Olofsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Väring's Ulf Gummeson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonardo Klintæus hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Peder Fridlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Bäck got free with Niklas Ferm in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 95th play minutes Georg Olofsson shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Ulf Gummeson and just under the crossbar into goal.
