He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Degeberga reached it. The supporters of Degeberga booed when Fluffy AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Oskar Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Sven-Ove Smitt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pelle Sjöman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Henriksson in the 44th minute of play. Sven-Ove Smitt hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Ove Smitt to make the kick off. Pelle Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
