The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo-Erik Kalfhage got free with Torbjörn Askelöf in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bo-Erik Kalfhage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Måns Sandell kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When Tim Sundström fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bräcke BK's protests and gave Tim Sundström a yellow card for diving instead. Frans Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Blomberg in the 17th minute of the match. Bo-Erik Kalfhage scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torbjörn Askelöf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malte Ek during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bräcke BK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Malte Ek hit a great ball. When Erik Carlsson fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällefors's protests and gave Erik Carlsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bräcke BK booed when Hällefors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Wallgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Torbjörn Askelöf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bo-Erik Kalfhage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th match minute, Hällefors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Carlsson to maneuver through the defense. Gösta Wennerlund was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bräcke BK! A collision led to Bräcke BK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Måns Överman hit a great ball. Gunnar Österberg, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Måns Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Frans Lindholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bo-Erik Kalfhage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torbjörn Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo-Erik Kalfhage in the 54th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Måns Överman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Bo-Erik Kalfhage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bo-Erik Kalfhage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torbjörn Askelöf was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Måns Överman struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Torbjörn Askelöf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bräcke BK. The Hällefors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torbjörn Askelöf should have stopped the shot. Torbjörn Askelöf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bo-Erik Kalfhage's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Bo-Erik Kalfhage's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torbjörn Askelöf was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Bräcke BK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
