Sigvard Asserlindh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Wickander in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Josef Bergström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sigvard Asserlindh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute Jens-Erik Ahlqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigvard Asserlindh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Ivan Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th match minute, Nintendo CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algot Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. Nintendo CS's Sigvard Asserlindh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Bergström in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algot Sandberg's late challenge caught a Hällestad IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Algot Sandberg helped the player get up and apologised. The Nintendo CS fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Nintendo CS's Lennart Sjöberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nintendo CS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hällestad IK for a fine match.
