The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Nyström got free with Georg Andberg in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rune Aleberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Bruse in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Sven Bruse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Superstar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Bruse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sven-Olof Nykvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kan ja löve BK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Börje Brandt hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven Bruse was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Superstar's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Svanström came free, but Georg Andberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Filip Qvalfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sven Bruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conny Biörling kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Filip Qvalfeldt fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kan ja löve BK's protests and gave Filip Qvalfeldt a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kan ja löve BK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Superstar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
