Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Holger Holm took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Nykvarn IF's Krister Beneth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingemar Sandberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Genevad's goalkeeper Ingemar Sandberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Krister Beneth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Ingemar Sandberg made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Nykvarn IF's Krister Beneth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ingemar Sandberg. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 18th minute, George Göransson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nykvarn IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Ingemar Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Göransson in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Genevad's August Wiklund got a free kick in the 24th minute. Ingemar Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Genevad's Ingemar Sandberg got control of the ball when Krister Beneth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alf Asklund struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Ingemar Sandberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nykvarn IF. George Göransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ingemar Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Krister Beneth in the 33rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ingemar Sandberg had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Krister Beneth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ingemar Sandberg made a huge save. After 38 minutes of play, Genevad's Holger Holm made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conny Ek was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Nykvarn IF getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alf Asklund hit a great ball. Conny Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Holm, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Göransson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Anton Dalman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genevad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nykvarn IF the free kick. Nykvarn IF's Harry Pilblad couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Genevad. Krister Beneth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingemar Sandberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Anton Dalman was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Genevad getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Anton Dalman hit a great ball. Ingemar Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krister Beneth in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Nykvarn IF booed when Genevad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Krister Beneth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingemar Sandberg came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Nykvarn IF's George Göransson. But to his dismay, George Göransson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After 84 played minutes Genevad got a freekick which was hit by August Wiklund. After 87 minutes Genevad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harry Pilblad who took care of the corner kick. Nykvarn IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Harry Pilblad in the 88th minute. Harry Pilblad made a great header on Nykvarn IF's corner, it was just that Genevad's Ingemar Sandberg managed to reach the ball for a save. When Krister Beneth came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Nykvarn IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krister Beneth couldn't finish the play. When George Göransson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Nykvarn IF fans jumped to their feet. Nykvarn IF's Krister Beneth got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Nykvarn IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
