Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reine Nykvist started the match with the kick off. Sven-Ove Martinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Ove Ros didn't quite understand what happened when in the 4 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After some careless play in the Strömsund defense, Sven-Ove Billvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Sundberg. The Strömsund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Sundberg should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Lajksjöberg's Sven-Ove Billvall slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Sundberg. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. 30 minutes into the match, Lajksjöberg's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Olenberg came free, but Krister Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Olenberg in the 33rd minute of play forced Lajksjöberg's goalkeeper Krister Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes Lajksjöberg got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Hellsing. Krister Fredriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Olof Fastesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Tobias Broman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lajksjöberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strömsund the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Lajksjöberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Broman to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Strömsund's Ted Åberg got a free kick in the 47th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sven-Ove Billvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lajksjöberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Ove Billvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Sundberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Olenberg to make the kick off. In the 59th minute Niklas Forssberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Fredriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Ove Billvall struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Roger Sundberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lajksjöberg. Roger Sundberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Ove Billvall went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 69th match minute, Lajksjöberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hellsing to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match, Wilhelm Olenberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krister Fredriksson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 74 minutes into the match, Lajksjöberg's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Olenberg came free, but Krister Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Ted Åberg from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Krister Fredriksson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Ove Billvall in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Sundberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Krister Fredriksson made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Per-Olof Fastesson sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Strömsund players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lajksjöberg.
