Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Galten's Jack Olenberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FC Galten's Jack Olenberg got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Karl-Michael Wahlnäs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jumkils IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Michael Wahlnäs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kennet Kielberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kennet Kielberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Michael Wahlnäs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Forssell got free with Per-Åke Matsson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaf Hedlund lost his temper 14 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Kennet Kielberg went to the wrong direction when Martin Dalman was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After having played for 19 minutes, Christopher Nordstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Galten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Nordstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Jumkils IF's goalkeeper Per-Åke Matsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Nordstedt. Sonny Nyström charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Nyström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sonny Nyström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Martin Dalman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Felin in the 32nd minute of play forced Jumkils IF's goalkeeper Per-Åke Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Ove Hjortberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Åke Matsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to FC Galten getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Sonny Nyström hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Martin Dalman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kennet Kielberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Jumkils IF's Per-Åke Matsson got control of the ball when Edmund Felin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Christopher Askelöf came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Galten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Askelöf couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Bäcklin to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jumkils IF's zone, Allan Forssell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Åke Matsson came out of the goal and Allan Forssell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Nordstedt in the 64th minute of play forced Jumkils IF's goalkeeper Per-Åke Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Åke Matsson came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Galten's Christopher Nordstedt. But to his dismay, Christopher Nordstedt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Christopher Askelöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Edmund Felin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kennet Kielberg made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Evert Sundling sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, FC Galten's Jan-Ove Hjortberg got a free kick in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Allan Forssell managed to get in a good position for a shot. When Måns Backman came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Jumkils IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Måns Backman couldn't finish the play.
