Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ingmar Sigman got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Hedlund during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Galten getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Gustaf Hedlund hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, FC Galten's goalkeeper Kennet Kielberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henry Sundén. 10 minutes into the match, Christopher Nordstedt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Gabrielsson. Hajom's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Nordstedt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When FC Galten's Jack Olenberg in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hajom's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th minute Ingmar Sigman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kennet Kielberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Hajom's Krister Wickander seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Krister Wickander the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hajom protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Krister Wickander had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Christopher Askelöf hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Roger Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Kennet Kielberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Christopher Nordstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hajom's Jan Gabrielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the FC Galten defense, Henry Sundén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kennet Kielberg. The FC Galten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kennet Kielberg should have stopped the shot. Edmund Felin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Gabrielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christopher Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jan Gabrielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Forssell, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Allan Forssell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Galten booed when Hajom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, Hajom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Sundén to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Felin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Gabrielsson having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Olenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Sundén in the 56th minute of play forced FC Galten's goalkeeper Kennet Kielberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kennet Kielberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Lindberg in the 59th minute of play. Jan-Ove Hjortberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Gabrielsson having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Carl Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christopher Nordstedt got free with Jan Gabrielsson in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan Gabrielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Forssell in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Hajom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Rudkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Henry Sundén got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Galten's Christopher Nordstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Olenberg in the 91st minute of play forced Hajom's goalkeeper Jan Gabrielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Ove Hjortberg charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan-Ove Hjortberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hajom getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ingvar Wennerqvist hit a great ball. Hajom's Jan Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Olenberg in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC Galten players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
