Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conny Friberger kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Mellbystrand FF booed when Fåker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claes Engman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Eric Nyström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Boris Bollström kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Jan-Erik Nordin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Nyström having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jan-Erik Nordin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eric Nyström. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Fåker's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Nordin came free, but Eric Nyström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Nyström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Conny Friberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lars Alefors hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Eric Nyström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Nordin in the 32nd minute of play. Olle Borre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ivar Falk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Erik Nordin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Nyström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Mellbystrand FF's Ivar Falk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Friberger in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46thth minute of the game Jan-Erik Nordin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fåker's Eric Nyström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Fåker's Eric Nyström got control of the ball when Claes Engman tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Eric Nyström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Nordin in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fåker's Rolf Pilgren got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddie Arhenius during the 55th minute. When Lars Alefors fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 90th minute, Freddie Arhenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Claes Engman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellbystrand FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Engman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Nyström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fåker's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
