The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Otto Kuse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otto Kuse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Per-Oskar Ahlqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Åke Fransson came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Nye's Otto Kuse. But to his dismay, Otto Kuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Edvard Hultman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Gummeson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ingmar Jansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edsvalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingmar Jansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oskar Stephansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingmar Jansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nils Malmberg fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nye's protests and gave Nils Malmberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Edsvalla booed when Nye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Malmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Nye getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nils Malmberg hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Edsvalla's Gottfrid Helberg tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sven Lundin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oskar Stephansson. Nye's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jan-Åke Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Kuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Edvard Hultman came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Edsvalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvard Hultman couldn't finish the play. Nils Malmberg hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Ingmar Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Kuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jan-Åke Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per-Oskar Ahlqvist succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Oskar Ahlqvist was the one to do the kick off. Nye's Oskar Stephansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Jansson in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingmar Jansson in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oskar Stephansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nye's Nils Malmberg got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Edvard Hultman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Åke Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Oskar Ahlqvist in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Edsvalla's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Fransson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Per-Oskar Ahlqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
