Erling Browall came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Ilsbo IF's Leif Axelsson. But to his dismay, Leif Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ivar Västerberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Ilsbo IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif Axelsson in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Browall saved Stockholm Eagles from getting behind. Leif Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Browall having to interfere. Leif Axelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erling Browall. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Axelsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 minutes of play, Stockholm Eagles's Christian Säv made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urban Grubb was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Axelsson in the 29th minute of play forced Stockholm Eagles's goalkeeper Erling Browall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ilsbo IF booed when Stockholm Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesper Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konrad Pihl struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Urban Grubb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stockholm Eagles. Christian Säv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Grubb having to interfere. If Sven-Erik Knutsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sven-Erik Knutsson came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Stockholm Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Erik Knutsson couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Säv stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Leif Axelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stockholm Eagles's goalkeeper Erling Browall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Leif Axelsson notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Stockholm Eagles's Erling Browall. Erling Browall was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th match minute, Stockholm Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Uggla to maneuver through the defense. Ilsbo IF's Jim Pihlgren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stockholm Eagles. After 78 minutes, Jan-Erik Eklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stockholm Eagles and the Ilsbo IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Leif Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Ilsbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Axelsson couldn't finish the play.
