The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastian Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Browall having to interfere. In the 6th minute Mikael Söderlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Dan Hjelm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Jack of Clubs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm Eagles the free kick. In the 8th match minute, The Jack of Clubs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Hjelm to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, The Jack of Clubs's Vidar Österlund got a free kick in the 15th minute. Mikael Söderlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erling Browall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Sven-Erik Knutsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Hjalmar Ekman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Christian Säv came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Stockholm Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Säv couldn't finish the play. After the first half The Jack of Clubs were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesper Vedholm during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of The Jack of Clubs booed when Stockholm Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesper Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Konrad Pihl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, The Jack of Clubs's Mikael Söderlund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erling Browall. Erling Browall yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When Mikael Söderlund came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the The Jack of Clubs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Söderlund couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikael Söderlund in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erling Browall prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Konrad Pihl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikael Söderlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Erling Browall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Stockholm Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Ivarsson came free, but Erling Browall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stockholm Eagles's Erling Browall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Stockholm Eagles from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Axelsson got free with Erling Browall in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, The Jack of Clubs's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Knutsson came free, but Hjalmar Ekman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
