Mitra kukar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Beckeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gustav Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Magne Juhlin in the 20th minute really tested Göran Kleen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 25th minute Lars Vase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Apelqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Salkin! In the 30th match minute, Mitra kukar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliott Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. Gustav Lundström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göran Kleen having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Lindblom to make the kick off. When Gustaf Algren fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Salkin's protests and gave Gustaf Algren a yellow card for diving instead. Gustaf Algren kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. FC Salkin's Frank Lindblom got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
