In the 9th minute, Per-Arne Sjöberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Svanavattnet IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 18 minutes, Per-Arne Sjöberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Svanavattnet IK and the Dona United players grew even worse after the yellow card. 1-1 became the score in the 20th minute when Ulf Rosendahl elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 31 minutes, Anton Hamberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dona United and the Svanavattnet IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Anton Hamberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Arne Sjöberg in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mats Bergqvist saved Dona United from getting behind. Mats Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Arne Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Per-Arne Sjöberg made a precise shot to the right of Mats Bergqvist. Dona United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After the first half Svanavattnet IK were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulf Rosendahl to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Ulf Rosendahl made a precise shot to the right of Andy Olenberg. Svanavattnet IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Per-Arne Sjöberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Harald Forsman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Svanavattnet IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Forsman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Bergqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Arne Sjöberg in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Per-Arne Sjöberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Dona United's Mats Bergqvist got control of the ball when Valter Blom tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute, Per-Arne Sjöberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mats Bergqvist, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Hamberg in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andy Olenberg saved Svanavattnet IK from getting behind. Per-Arne Sjöberg in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mats Bergqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dona United's Mats Bergqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Dona United from getting a goal against them. Dona United's Mats Bergqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Sjöberg in the 92nd minute of play. Harald Forsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Bergqvist having to interfere. If Per-Arne Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
