In the 5th minute, Börje Beck made a precise shot to the right of Villiam Ahlbom. Norrfjärden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Joseph Skräddare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isac Friberger, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 16th minute, Åke Mattsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jörn Forssberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Norrfjärden's Villiam Ahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Beck in the 21st minute of play. When Börje Beck came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FC Glädjen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Beck couldn't finish the play. Nils-Erik Pil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Villiam Ahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magnus Åkerström's late challenge caught a FC Glädjen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Magnus Åkerström helped the player get up and apologised. Börje Beck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Villiam Ahlbom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of FC Glädjen booed when Norrfjärden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunnar Fastesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Nils-Erik Pil from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Villiam Ahlbom's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Börje Beck to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Jan Tönnberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jörn Forssberg to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonny Nordkvist during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Norrfjärden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonny Nordkvist to maneuver through the defense. Jörn Forssberg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isac Friberger. Villiam Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Beck in the 69th minute of play. Orvar Britz hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Valström in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Glädjen's goalkeeper Jörn Forssberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Patrick Carlsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Glädjen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norrfjärden the free kick. Patrick Carlsson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Norrfjärden's Georg Valström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jörn Forssberg. Jörn Forssberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Villiam Ahlbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Börje Beck's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Nils-Erik Pil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villiam Ahlbom having to interfere. Börje Beck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Villiam Ahlbom having to make a save. Villiam Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Beck in the 89th minute of play. Norrfjärden's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
