Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mikael Almkvist got the match started through his kick off. When Paul Ekberg fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mjöbäck's protests and gave Paul Ekberg a yellow card for diving instead. Paul Ekberg kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 25th minute Sven-Oskar Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes, Leif Forsman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mjöbäck and the Murtssons Mastodonter players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mikael Almkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per-Erik Samuelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Almkvist in the 56th minute of play forced Murtssons Mastodonter's goalkeeper Orvar Emander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Mikael Almkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Caspersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Samuelsson in the 71st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Sven-Oskar Nordmark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murtssons Mastodonter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mjöbäck the free kick. Leif Forsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Emander having to interfere. Per-Erik Samuelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Walter Caspersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
