Ingvar Hägert's late challenge caught a Renova IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Spurs's protests and gave Måns Engström a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Spurs got a freekick which was hit by Måns Engström. Renova IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joachim Bållström in the 46th minute. A nice corner shot did that Joachim Bållström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isak Strömberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Olof Vase to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Torsten Skark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rickard Vallander was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Isak Strömberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Fransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renova IK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Spurs's much stronger midfield.
