Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Forsberg in the 4th minute of play forced Säffle FK's goalkeeper Elof Siggesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. R.S Avanti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Torbjörn Lundkvist in the 5th minute. R.S Avanti's Torbjörn Lundkvist was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elof Siggesson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Säffle FK's Jakob Willig got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Valter Ekblom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elof Siggesson. Säffle FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valter Ekblom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Börge Wallmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Kjell-Arne Rang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Börge Wallmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Kjell-Arne Rang made a huge save. After having played for 19 minutes, Manfred Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R.S Avanti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfred Åberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valter Ekblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elof Siggesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfred Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Hedström succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. R.S Avanti's Kjell-Arne Rang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Hedström in the 35th minute of play. When Manfred Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the R.S Avanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfred Åberg couldn't finish the play. After 47 minutes, Jan-Åke Hammarström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Säffle FK and the R.S Avanti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Jan-Åke Hammarström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind Säffle FK's goalkeeper Elof Siggesson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Elof Siggesson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alex Petersson. After a defensive mix-up in R.S Avanti's zone, Börge Wallmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Rang came out of the goal and Börge Wallmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Börge Wallmark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Börge Wallmark had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, R.S Avanti's Manfred Åberg got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 76 minutes, Jakob Willig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Säffle FK and the R.S Avanti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 76 played minutes Säffle FK got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Willig. 77 minutes into the match, R.S Avanti's Torbjörn Lundkvist broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in R.S Avanti's zone, Karl Hedström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Rang came out of the goal and Karl Hedström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viggo Engman during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes R.S Avanti got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Engman. In the 87th minute of the match Christian Säv sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Rang skillfully saved the ball. Börge Wallmark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Ekblom got free with Elof Siggesson in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute, Karl Hedström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melker Sigfridsson's late challenge caught a R.S Avanti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melker Sigfridsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of R.S Avanti booed when Säffle FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melker Sigfridsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
