Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kjell-Arne Strömberg made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Karl-Michael Hult managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frösön's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Hult was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vallhamn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Kjell Linqvist scored to the left of an out of position Thor Hernström, making the score, 1-0. William Benett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thor Hernström having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Frösön got a freekick which was hit by Alvar Malmberg. Kjell Linqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vallhamn booed when Frösön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Åkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frösön's goalkeeper Henric Rolfsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kjell Linqvist in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thor Hernström saved Vallhamn from getting behind. Karl-Michael Hult might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thor Hernström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Michael Hult ran back to his position shaking his head. Kjell Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl-Michael Hult could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Thor Hernström made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Kjell Linqvist made the kick off in the second half. If Kjell Linqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Frösön booed when Vallhamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell-Arne Strömberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell Linqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjell Linqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 57 minutes into the match, Vallhamn's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Michael Hult came free, but Thor Hernström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thor Hernström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Michael Hult in the 64th minute of play. When Kjell Linqvist came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Frösön fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell Linqvist couldn't finish the play. Kennet Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vallhamn booed when Frösön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Malmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Tönnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Kjell Linqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thor Hernström. Vallhamn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell Linqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Kennet Pettersson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Alvar Malmberg fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frösön's protests and gave Alvar Malmberg a yellow card for diving instead. Kennet Pettersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Henric Rolfsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kennet Pettersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Frösön fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vallhamn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
