After having played for 23 minutes, Sture Hultin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Busmaster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sture Hultin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Olov Bremming had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Håkan Telin managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Busmaster's Sven-Olof Skarkman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sven-Olof Skarkman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Håkan Telin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 33rd match minute, Karlholmsbruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Håkan Åkerman to maneuver through the defense. Petter Allbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Frisck in the 37th minute of play. Karl-Michael Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Telin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Karlholmsbruk's zone, Sture Hultin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Telin came out of the goal and Sture Hultin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Håkan Telin was a little too slow when Olov Bremming got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stellan Nässén made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Stellan Nässén kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Petter Allbom. That made the score 1-1 in the 51 minute of play. Stellan Nässén kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Joakim Torstensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Håkan Telin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Stellan Nässén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Allbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Håkan Telin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Hultin, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to Busmaster getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Olov Bremming hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Karlholmsbruk's zone, Olov Bremming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Telin came out of the goal and Olov Bremming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Dan Frisck notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Busmaster's Petter Allbom. Petter Allbom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Sven-Olof Skarkman came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Busmaster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Skarkman couldn't finish the play. Patrik Sundström charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrik Sundström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th match minute, Karlholmsbruk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Sundström to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Olof Skarkman in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Telin saved Karlholmsbruk from getting behind. If Sture Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Karlholmsbruk got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Eklund. Håkan Telin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sture Hultin went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.
