In the 23rd minute, Charlie Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Greger Lindström in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Friberger saved Eftra Queerboys from getting behind. Greger Lindström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Friberger having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Freddie Vidman in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Friberger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Freddie Vidman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hans Axelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Uggla in the 47th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Mönsterås FK's Freddie Vidman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anton Friberger. That made the score 0-1 after 52 minutes of play. In the 55th play minute Greger Lindström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Anton Friberger. 0-2. In the 59th minute Axel Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Axelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Greger Lindström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee ignored Eftra Queerboys's protests and gave Axel Engström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mönsterås FK booed when Eftra Queerboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Engström didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mönsterås FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mönsterås FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
