Einar Sjögren was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oscar Arenius. After 10 played minutes Årby FC got a freekick which was hit by Axel Clementsson. The long shot by Ivan Backlund in the 10th minute really tested Einar Sjögren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Josef Morat kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Einar Sjögren. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Josef Morat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Einar Sjögren. Josef Morat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Nässjö's Josef Morat was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Einar Sjögren had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gustav Hedbom from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Einar Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Hedbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. A collision led to Årby FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Casper Fagerberg hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Alvar Fernström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig Caspersson. Nässjö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvar Fernström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Nässjö's zone, John Lövgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Caspersson came out of the goal and John Lövgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig Caspersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Lövgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th match minute, Nässjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Klint to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustav Hedbom was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Lövgren in the 52nd minute of play forced Nässjö's goalkeeper Stig Caspersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Årby FC's Einar Sjögren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Hedbom in the 57th minute of play. When Axel Clementsson fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Årby FC's protests and gave Axel Clementsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th minute, Axel Clementsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gustav Hedbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Lövgren struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Stig Caspersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Årby FC. Einar Sjögren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Morat in the 68th minute of play. Josef Morat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Einar Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Hedbom struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Einar Sjögren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nässjö. The supporters of Nässjö booed when Årby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Colin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustav Hedbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustav Hedbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Årby FC's Axel Clementsson got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute, Ivan Backlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Årby FC's Robin Colin tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alvar Fernström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Stig Caspersson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Årby FC's Alvar Fernström got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
