In the 8th minute Boris Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Lindman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Osby's Jens-Ove Sefastsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michel Ahlbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13thth minute of the game Harald Lindsten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmia FC's Michel Ahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jens-Erik Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jens-Ove Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Osby's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Åkesson came free, but Sune Lindman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens-Ove Sefastsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Holmgren in the 34th minute of play. If Tobias Telin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sonny Finman charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sonny Finman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 47 minutes into the match, Osby's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Åkesson came free, but Sune Lindman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boris Åkesson made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Boris Åkesson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sune Lindman. Sune Lindman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Telin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Magnus Johansson hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Michel Ahlbom came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Osby's Jens-Ove Sefastsson. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Sefastsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Kim Apelquist hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Holmia FC's Gilbert Rosendal couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Osby. Boris Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sune Lindman having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Holmia FC's goalkeeper Michel Ahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Ove Sefastsson got free with Michel Ahlbom in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Felix Beck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sune Lindman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Felix Beck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute Jens-Erik Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Felix Beck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmia FC and the Osby players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Osby booed when Holmia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball.
