Valdemar Mårtensson missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 22 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sune Lindman right hand side. Sune Lindman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Bokelund, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Edgar Sandberg made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Osby's Sune Lindman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staffan Bokelund in the 33rd minute of play forced Osby's goalkeeper Sune Lindman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Jens-Erik Holmgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sune Lindman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Sandberg's late challenge caught a Osby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malmudden AIK's Jörgen Broman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Sefastsson in the 59th minute of play. Sune Lindman came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmudden AIK's Edgar Sandberg. But to his dismay, Edgar Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sune Lindman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Sandberg in the 74th minute. If Edgar Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Sandberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Sandbergs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Sune Lindman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Malmudden AIK's Staffan Bokelund in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Osby's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Sandberg got free with Sune Lindman in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sune Lindman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Staffan Bokelund's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Jens-Erik Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Erik Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jens-Erik Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Broman having to interfere.
