The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th match minute, IFK Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Linus Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Vennerdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linus Martinsson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Linus Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, Linus Martinsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Vennerdal. Linus Martinsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harald Bredberg during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of IFK Ducks booed when Myresjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harald Bredberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Linus Martinsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Myresjö's Rickard Bengtsson got control of the ball when Sixten Isaksson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anton Larsfält scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Vennerdal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Larsfält in the 62nd minute of play forced IFK Ducks's goalkeeper Roger Vennerdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Lucas Albohm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rickard Bengtsson was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Myresjö's zone, Sixten Isaksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rickard Bengtsson came out of the goal and Sixten Isaksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Linus Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Myresjö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Linus Martinsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Myresjö's zone, Sixten Isaksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rickard Bengtsson came out of the goal and Sixten Isaksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Myresjö's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Albohm came free, but Rickard Bengtsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. IFK Ducks's Lucas Albohm got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sixten Isaksson struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rickard Bengtsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Ducks. Lucas Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. IFK Ducks's Michael Danielsson suffered a concussion after 91 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robin Sandwall during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Myresjö getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Robin Sandwall hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, IFK Ducks's Sixten Isaksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rickard Bengtsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
