Spectators: 7309 (Terracing: 5483, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dick Martinsson started the match with the kick off. Valter Rosendal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Herman Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Villastan's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Söderqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Tingberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dick Martinsson struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ingvar Tingberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Villastan. Joar Ljungberg came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Linderöd's Birger Åkesson. But to his dismay, Birger Åkesson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Herman Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FK Villastan getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Torbjörn Andreasson hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Dick Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Tingberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Herman Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Birger Åkesson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joar Ljungberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Birger Åkesson made the kick off in the second half. Birger Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Joar Ljungberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Öberg was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Linderöd booed when FK Villastan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Öberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birger Åkesson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joar Ljungberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Birger Åkesson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 58th minute. Birger Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Ljungberg having to interfere. Joar Ljungberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Åkesson in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Dick Martinsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Tingberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Torbjörn Andreasson charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torbjörn Andreasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th match minute, FK Villastan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torbjörn Andreasson to maneuver through the defense. If Valter Rosendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Åkesson in the 81st minute of play forced FK Villastan's goalkeeper Joar Ljungberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, FK Villastan's goalkeeper Joar Ljungberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valter Rosendal. Birger Åkesson struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Joar Ljungberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linderöd. Joar Ljungberg made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Valter Rosendal sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, FK Villastan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valter Rosendal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Birger Åkesson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Linderöd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birger Åkesson couldn't finish the play. The FK Villastan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Linderöd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
