In the 6thth minute of the game Dick Martinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HEDMANS IF's Edgar Berglund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Herman Söderqvist succeeded in the game's 12th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. HEDMANS IF's Edgar Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Martinsson in the 18th minute of play. Joar Ljungberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Hellbom in the 22nd minute. Joar Ljungberg made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Rune Hellbom sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Herman Söderqvist sped through HEDMANS IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgar Berglund. After a defensive mix-up in HEDMANS IF's zone, Dick Martinsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Berglund came out of the goal and Dick Martinsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dick Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th match minute, FK Villastan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Brandin to maneuver through the defense. After 42 minutes, Torbjörn Andreasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Villastan and the HEDMANS IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Torbjörn Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, HEDMANS IF's Alexander Kjellman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Rune Hellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FK Villastan's zone, Niklas Brogren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Ljungberg came out of the goal and Niklas Brogren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half FK Villastan were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Herman Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Herman Söderqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Villastan's supporters rose to their feet, but Herman Söderqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jan-Ove Höijer fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HEDMANS IF's protests and gave Jan-Ove Höijer a yellow card for diving instead. Jan-Ove Höijer kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Rune Hellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Martinsson in the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Dick Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Villastan's supporters rose to their feet, but Dick Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joar Ljungberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklas Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Öberg during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FK Villastan getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emanuel Öberg hit a great ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Niklas Brogren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Villastan's Joar Ljungberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Niklas Brogren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joar Ljungberg came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by HEDMANS IF's Rune Hellbom. But to his dismay, Rune Hellbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Niklas Brogren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FK Villastan walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
