The Fårbo IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tom Ström should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dick Martinsson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tom Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 played minutes FK Villastan got a freekick which was hit by Dick Martinsson. Johan Brenner charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johan Brenner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johan Brenner kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Torbjörn Andreasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Ström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fårbo IK's Tom Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Martinsson in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fårbo IK's goalkeeper Tom Ström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Herman Söderqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Ström having to interfere. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for FK Villastan. Sonny Eckegren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tom Ström. 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dick Martinsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fårbo IK's Pontus Ljungberg got a free kick in the 54th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Fårbo IK's goalkeeper Tom Ström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herman Söderqvist. The FK Villastan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Dick Martinsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fårbo IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FK Villastan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
