Karl Ekegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Walroth having to interfere. Henric Walroth didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 18th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Jon Rönn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Lundin in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, Värnamo's Henric Walroth got control of the ball when Bernt Hultstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pilgrimstad RK's Jon Rönn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claes Lundin in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Värnamo booed when Pilgrimstad RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Grubb didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Karl Ekegren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henric Walroth, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Nyqvist during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Henric Walroth came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilgrimstad RK's Patric Andersson. But to his dismay, Patric Andersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Pilgrimstad RK getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Patric Andersson hit a great ball. Patric Andersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henric Walroth having to interfere. Pilgrimstad RK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zebastian Knutsson in the 80th minute. The corner led Pilgrimstad RK's Zebastian Knutsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Henric Walroth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Jens Skräddare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Lundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jon Rönn made a huge save. Karl Ekegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Värnamo's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Andersson came free, but Henric Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Grubb's late challenge caught a Värnamo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Grubb helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pilgrimstad RK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Christian Grubb hit a great ball. Jens Skräddare's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Rönn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Henric Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Andersson in the 91st minute of the match.
