Tage Åberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, Målsryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klas Högberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Stenkarns IF were awarded a corner. Mikael Springfält went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Stenkarns IF's Mikael Springfält to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Springfält despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mikael Springfält kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Anders Lindberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Åke Lundgren was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 38thth minute of the game Jan Nyman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stenkarns IF's Bengt-Åke Lundgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bengt-Åke Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Nyman hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Nyman was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Marko Kjellberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stenkarns IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Målsryd the free kick. 54 minutes into the game, one of Stenkarns IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tage Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tage Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Stenkarns IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Åberg couldn't finish the play. When Karl Asserlindh fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stenkarns IF's protests and gave Karl Asserlindh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Karl Asserlindh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th match minute, Målsryd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Ahlgren to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Stenkarns IF's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Lundgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anders Lindberg. Anders Lindberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt-Åke Lundgren came out and tried to block the shot, but Anders Lindberg slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 81st minute. Tommy Törnkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anders Lindberg got free with Bengt-Åke Lundgren in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
