Tage Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesper Browall read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Galatasaray A.S. booed when Koppom IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rikard Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Håkan Borre came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Galatasaray A.S. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Håkan Borre couldn't finish the play. Tage Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jesper Browall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Håkan Borre rounded Koppom IK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Tage Jansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesper Browall having to interfere. Ingmar Berggren kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Håkan Borre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesper Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Koppom IK's Jonathan Lundin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonathan Lundin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Koppom IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonathan Lundin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Koppom IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Tomas Månsson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 90 played minutes Koppom IK got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Tidén. Ragnar Sandström was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Esbjörn Stål capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esbjörn Stål really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1.
