The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ludvig Bergqvist got free with Jarl Jakobsson in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Markusson in the 8th minute of play forced Claymore Yomas's goalkeeper Jarl Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Patrik Simonsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Claymore Yomas got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Säf. Klas Andersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Henrik Markusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Klas Andersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Smed having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ludvig Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åseda IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludvig Bergqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarl Jakobsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Åseda IK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Henrik Markusson hit a great ball. Ingvar Dahlberg's late challenge caught a Claymore Yomas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingvar Dahlberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Åseda IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute of the match Fredric Bohlin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Folke Smed skillfully saved the ball. Claymore Yomas's Jarl Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludvig Bergqvist in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Henrik Markusson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Claymore Yomas's Jarl Jakobsson. Jarl Jakobsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Åseda IK's zone, Ulf Kihlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Smed came out of the goal and Ulf Kihlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Klas Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Henrik Markusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åseda IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Folke Smed made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Kihlberg in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Claymore Yomas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Åseda IK.
