The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Backabo FC's Helge Lindberg got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiktor Odeen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åke Ferm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Wiktor Odeen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eskil Hjortsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Klågerup BF's Matthias Håkansson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eskil Hjortsberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Håkansson in the 20th minute of play forced Backabo FC's goalkeeper Eskil Hjortsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Åke Ferm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Lindberg in the 23rd minute of the match. If Martin Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Matthias Håkansson put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Eskil Hjortsberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Lindberg in the 33rd minute of play forced Klågerup BF's goalkeeper Åke Ferm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Klågerup BF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olle Nyman was slow to take the kick. During this time Backabo FC's players had a chance to rest. Helge Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Ferm having to interfere. Matthias Håkansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Hjortsberg having to interfere. Eric Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eskil Hjortsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Åke Ferm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Lindqvist in the 56th minute of play. Edmund Sjöö's late challenge caught a Klågerup BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Sjöö helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Backabo FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edmund Sjöö hit a great ball. Wiktor Odeen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Eskil Hjortsberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Backabo FC's Helge Lindberg got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zebastian Hedkvist hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Martin Samuelsson came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Backabo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Samuelsson couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Matthias Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Klågerup BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthias Håkansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wiktor Odeen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Backabo FC's zone, Wiktor Odeen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eskil Hjortsberg came out of the goal and Wiktor Odeen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Backabo FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Klågerup BF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
