The AC Giraffen fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when AC Giraffen's Arne Holmgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of AC Giraffen booed when FC Bozna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Bergfelt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaf Nykvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Giöck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sten Karlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vidar Wallmark in the 12th minute. If Tommy Siöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, AC Giraffen's Sten Karlberg got control of the ball when Vidar Wallmark tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 29 played minutes FC Bozna got a freekick which was hit by Arman Norström. Arne Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tomas Bergfelt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sten Karlberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes FC Bozna got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Sikström. If Tomas Bergfelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 45 minutes into the match, Vidar Wallmark had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sten Karlberg. AC Giraffen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vidar Wallmark was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Bergfelt to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers William Giöck in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustaf Nykvist saved FC Bozna from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Giöck in the 58th minute of play forced FC Bozna's goalkeeper Gustaf Nykvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaf Nykvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Holmgren in the 59th minute of the match. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A collision led to FC Bozna getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sten Drake hit a great ball. Gustaf Nykvist came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Giraffen's Tommy Siöman. But to his dismay, Tommy Siöman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Gustaf Nykvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Giöck went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Karl Ugla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gustaf Nykvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaf Nykvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Giöck, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Markus Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th match minute, AC Giraffen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Fogel to maneuver through the defense. Arman Norström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Karlberg having to make a save.
