The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Arhenius got free with Kenneth Nilsson in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Morgan Vennerkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Morgan Vennerkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Älandsbro BK! The referee gave Bergsjö a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. Älandsbro BK's Peter Lundberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rutger Bäckman in the 16th minute of play. Kenneth Nilsson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valentin Tingberg. When Stig Lindqvist fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergsjö's protests and gave Stig Lindqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bergsjö's Stig Lindqvist got a free kick in the 26th minute. Rutger Bäckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Lundberg having to interfere. With his leg Kenneth Nilsson managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Älandsbro BK's Tobias Arhenius fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 48th minute of the match Bergsjö got a corner. Älandsbro BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Hääger ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Bergsjö's Ian Alberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 54 played minutes Älandsbro BK got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hjortberg. Rutger Bäckman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Peter Lundberg made a huge save. Tobias Arhenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Kenneth Nilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Nilsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Billvall in the 63rd minute of play. Tobias Arhenius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ian Alberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Lundberg was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. After 69 played minutes Älandsbro BK got a freekick which was hit by Rune Häll. Ian Alberg struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Peter Lundberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bergsjö. Älandsbro BK's Peter Lundberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Älandsbro BK from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Ian Alberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 77th minute, Holger Hedberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Billvall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Billvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Kenneth Nilsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rutger Bäckman struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Peter Lundberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bergsjö. Ian Alberg struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rutger Bäckman might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Lundberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rutger Bäckman ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Arhenius in the 90th minute of play forced Bergsjö's goalkeeper Kenneth Nilsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
