When Lukas Emander came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Heby FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukas Emander couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute, Nils Skog fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Andréas Odin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Skog, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lukas Emander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Skog in the 37th minute of play forced FC Grantopp's goalkeeper Andréas Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Skog succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Åke Alin to make the kick off. Jens-Ove Nilsson hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. If Lukas Emander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Heby FF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
