The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Birger Arvidsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Alfred Sjöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Arvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Fredrik Wiberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Sjöberg having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Viken's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Arvidsson came free, but Alfred Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Fredrik Wiberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Södermanlands IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Wiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Södermanlands IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Wiberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viken's Alfred Sjöberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Arvidsson in the 25th minute of play. Fredrik Wiberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Lundström charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alf Lundström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfred Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Wiberg in the 33rd minute of play. Alf Lundström was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 35 played minutes Viken got a freekick which was hit by Alf Lundström. Fredrik Wiberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredrik Wiberg was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Wiberg couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Viken's Alfred Sjöberg got control of the ball when Birger Arvidsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ivar Hellsing came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Viken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivar Hellsing couldn't finish the play. Björn Rudkvist hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute of the match Casper Säfström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludvig Sjögren skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Viken getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Filip Johansson hit a great ball. Ivar Hellsing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ludvig Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birger Arvidsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Sjöberg having to make a save. Viken's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fredrik Wiberg 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Fredrik Wiberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Alfred Sjöberg to make any attempt to save it.
