Ruth Wegaz's Per Haraldsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Hultstrand in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Göteborg BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Rosin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Göteborg BK's Ingvar Brodin got control of the ball when Nils-Åke Ingemarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Orvar Hultstrand, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Per Haraldsson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ingvar Brodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rutger Eliasson in the 16th minute of play. Vilhelm Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Per Haraldsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Orvar Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Haraldsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Joseph Blomkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ruth Wegaz and the Göteborg BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Göteborg BK booed when Ruth Wegaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Blomkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per Haraldsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orvar Hultstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Göteborg BK's Ingvar Brodin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Göteborg BK from getting a goal against them. Knut Svensson charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Knut Svensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Göteborg BK booed when Ruth Wegaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orvar Hultstrand in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per Haraldsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per Haraldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Hultstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Per Haraldsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Hultstrand in the 40th minute of play. Per Haraldsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Ek in the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nils-Åke Ingemarsson got free with Ingvar Brodin in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orvar Hultstrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mats Pihlberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Orvar Hultstrand didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 63rd minute. Göteborg BK's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Ingemarsson in the 66th minute of play forced Göteborg BK's goalkeeper Ingvar Brodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Rutger Eliasson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Göteborg BK's Ingvar Brodin. Ingvar Brodin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute Orvar Hultstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per Haraldsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Göteborg BK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ivan Rosin hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vilhelm Ek got free with Per Haraldsson in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Orvar Hultstrand came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Göteborg BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orvar Hultstrand couldn't finish the play. Orvar Hultstrand might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per Haraldsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orvar Hultstrand ran back to his position shaking his head. Dick Lidström had several of the Ruth Wegaz's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Per Haraldsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Ruth Wegaz booed when Göteborg BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Rosin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
