Forshaga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klas Smed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pelle Åberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Forshaga IF defense, Nils Spets kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Gustavsson. The Forshaga IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Gustavsson should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Fred Hammarbäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Patrik Törnblom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Forshaga IF's Nils Gustavsson didn't even have to move.
