The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bengt Hultin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Eriksson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niklas Holmberg during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Niklas Holmberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Jon Bruse notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fearless's Johannes Eriksson. Johannes Eriksson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Lars Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johannes Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Bruse in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Jon Bruse had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fearless! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Skänninge. Conny Westerstrand stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Johannes Eriksson. 0-2. Johannes Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Bergqvist in the 30th minute of the match. If Bengt Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fearless's Gustaf Martinsson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Conny Westerstrand sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fearless's Johannes Eriksson didn't even have to move. Gustaf Martinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes Fearless got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Martinsson. After the first half Skänninge were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Bergqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Johannes Eriksson was a little too slow when Gabriel Bergqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-3. Johannes Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, one of Skänninge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skänninge. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Martinsson during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, Skänninge's Johannes Eriksson threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriel Bergqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Fearless's zone, Gabriel Bergqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Eriksson came out of the goal and Gabriel Bergqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Nordmark's late challenge caught a Skänninge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Nordmark helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Fearless got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Nordmark. In the 80th match minute, Skänninge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Unesson to maneuver through the defense. Anton Tunberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomas Sjöberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. If Bengt Hultin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaf Martinsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gustaf Martinsson hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Skänninge eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
