The crowd rose to their feet as Rydebäck SS's Villiam Hellström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agne Ekman. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. When Jens-Åke Pihlblad came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Gräddhyllan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Åke Pihlblad couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Rydebäck SS defense, Malte Salqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Ström. The Rydebäck SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Ström should have stopped the shot. Jens-Åke Pihlblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Gräddhyllan fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when FC Gräddhyllan's Malte Salqvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Kent Falkrantz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Ström was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Arne Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urban Söderkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. If Jens-Åke Pihlblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. That made the score 1-7 in the 72 minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Malte Salqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Ström. Rydebäck SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Malte Salqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. Villiam Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Ekman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Salqvist got free with Martin Ström in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Ström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Åke Pihlblad's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Malte Salqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Martin Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Joakim Ahlerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Ström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Åke Pihlblad's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. FC Gräddhyllan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
