Mattias Dalman's late challenge caught a Rumphämnden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattias Dalman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Byarp getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Mattias Dalman hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Ove Bolin had to leave the field with a concussion. When Morgan Mattsson fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rumphämnden's protests and gave Morgan Mattsson a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Valter Henriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Byarp's supporters rose to their feet, but Valter Henriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Lundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Byarp's Richard Askberg got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Rumphämnden getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Mattias Kolberg hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the match, Byarp's Jarl Flink broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Valter Henriksson struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Carl Lundström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Byarp. Emil Hjortsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Karlstedt having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Holger Ingemarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rumphämnden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Holger Ingemarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Rumphämnden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Rosén to maneuver through the defense. If Valter Henriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valter Henriksson to make the kick off. Åke Örn tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Carl Lundström. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Henriksson in the 56th minute of play forced Rumphämnden's goalkeeper Carl Lundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Byarp's goalkeeper Leonard Karlstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emil Hjortsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leonard Karlstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Holger Ingemarsson in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonard Karlstedt saved Byarp from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rumphämnden's Holger Ingemarsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Boris Stål hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emil Hjortsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonard Karlstedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Richard Askberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Byarp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rumphämnden the free kick. A collision led to Byarp getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. After a defensive mix-up in Byarp's zone, Holger Ingemarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Karlstedt came out of the goal and Holger Ingemarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 played minutes Byarp got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Flink. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Byarp's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adrian Fridlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Rumphämnden's players had a chance to rest. Rumphämnden's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
