The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mariannelund's Valdemar Rolandsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Mariannelund from getting a goal against them. Nils Vallengren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdemar Rolandsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Nils Vallengren slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven Lindgren in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Rolandsson saved Mariannelund from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Mariannelund got a freekick which was hit by David Johansson. Sven Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdemar Rolandsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Lindgren in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Nyvång's Nils Vallengren fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Tor Pihlwall kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Mariannelund's Oskar Igelström in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nyvång's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Konrad Lägdin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariannelund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konrad Lägdin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Mariannelund's goalkeeper Valdemar Rolandsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Vallengren. After 43 minutes, Elof Classon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariannelund and the Nyvång players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Mariannelund getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Elof Classon hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes, Nyvång's Hampus Moberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdemar Rolandsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nyvång reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven Lindgren to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Lindgren in the 52nd minute of play forced Mariannelund's goalkeeper Valdemar Rolandsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Lägdin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Thomas Jönsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Sven Lindgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Mariannelund's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Lindgren came free, but Valdemar Rolandsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariannelund's Valdemar Rolandsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Lindgren in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mariannelund's Vilgot Nilsson got a free kick in the 77th minute. Sven Lindgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Rolandsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Mariannelund's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Vallengren came free, but Valdemar Rolandsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mariannelund's goalkeeper Valdemar Rolandsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdemar Rolandsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Offendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konrad Lägdin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
