The audience thought a goal was coming when Helge Jakobsson got free with Fredrik Bergqvist in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 4 minutes into the game, one of BK Bänknötarna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute, Helge Jakobsson made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Bergqvist. Liverpool's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 20th match minute, BK Bänknötarna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Fogel to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 25 minutes, Helge Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Bänknötarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helge Jakobsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in BK Bänknötarna's zone, Martin Bremming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fritz Finsberg came out of the goal and Martin Bremming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, BK Bänknötarna's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Örtlund came free, but Fritz Finsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helge Jakobsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Örtlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Finsberg having to interfere. After 42 played minutes BK Bänknötarna got a freekick which was hit by Helge Henriksson. BK Bänknötarna's Fritz Finsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Örtlund in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Helge Jakobsson to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Henriksson came free, but Fredrik Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Jakobsson in the 55th minute of the match. When Martin Bremming came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Liverpool fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Bremming couldn't finish the play. Fritz Finsberg made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Martin Bremming sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Bremming got free with Fritz Finsberg in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Martin Bremming could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Fritz Finsberg however easily saved by the left post. Helge Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Jakobsson in the 77th minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Fredrik Bergqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Liverpool booed when BK Bänknötarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Bremming received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fritz Finsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roger Ekblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benjamin Örtlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Finsberg having to interfere.
