Lingbo's Jens-Ola Käcker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Lingbo from getting a goal against them. If Matthias Bocklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mattias Håkansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Hedlund in the 10th minute of play forced Bongo Blues's goalkeeper Mattias Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Christer Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Håkansson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Matthias Bocklund kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 19thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Lingbo's keeper Jens-Ola Käcker was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 21st minute of the match Bongo Blues got a corner. Lingbo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Finman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mark Finman made a great header on Bongo Blues's corner, it was just that Lingbo's Jens-Ola Käcker managed to reach the ball for a save. Matthias Bocklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jens-Ola Käcker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lingbo's Sune Hedlund got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christer Sundberg in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mattias Håkansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bongo Blues's Mattias Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Sundberg in the 31st minute of play. Lingbo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Martin Björkkvist scored to the left of an out of position Jens-Ola Käcker, making the score, 1-0. Christer Sundberg struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Mattias Håkansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lingbo. Christer Sundberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Håkansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Mattias Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bongo Blues's Jonny Pihl got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Bongo Blues's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Sundberg came free, but Mattias Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 59th minute, Sune Hedlund fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mattias Håkansson, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Bongo Blues booed when Lingbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Bergkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Orvar Gadd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bongo Blues and the Lingbo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orvar Gadd hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Christer Sundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christer Sundberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Håkansson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christer Sundberg ran back to his position shaking his head. 78 minutes into the game, Börge Kullgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bongo Blues's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lingbo the free kick. In the 77th minute, one of Bongo Blues:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bongo Blues. Sune Hedlund hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Lingbo got a freekick which was hit by Christer Sundberg. After a rather tough play, Bongo Blues's Vilgot Martinsson got a free kick in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Lingbo's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Björkkvist came free, but Jens-Ola Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bongo Blues fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Christer Sundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Håkansson having to interfere. Mattias Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Sundberg in the 97th minute of the match. Bongo Blues were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lingbo for a fine match.
