The supporters of BK Bänknötarna booed when Vetlanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tom Häger made a kick off. Fritz Finsberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Erik Bergström went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute of the match Kurt Bjursell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fritz Finsberg skillfully saved the ball. Jan-Erik Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Finsberg having to interfere. In the 68thth minute of the game Harry Ivarsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vetlanda's Jörgen Söderström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 minutes, Helge Jakobsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Bänknötarna and the Vetlanda players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BK Bänknötarna getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Helge Jakobsson hit a great ball. Tom Häger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fritz Finsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Jan-Erik Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vetlanda's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Erik Bergström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fritz Finsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tom Häger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Erik Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Tom Häger in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Bergström in the 97th minute of play forced BK Bänknötarna's goalkeeper Fritz Finsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vetlanda fully deserved thier win.
