After having played for 8 minutes, Georg Stenquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georg Stenquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arne Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Peter Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven Hansson made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Georg Stenquist sent off a good shot on target. Peter Gustafsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Sundberg in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Fredriksson in the 22nd minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Peter Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Sundberg in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Gustafsson saved Real Madrid from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Sundberg came free, but Peter Gustafsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arne Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Gustafsson having to interfere. Georg Stenquist hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid's Georg Stenquist got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Georg Stenquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arne Sjöberg to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Holmsund's Arne Sjöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Gustafsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Holmsund booed when Real Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Stenquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Sjöberg came free, but Peter Gustafsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Gustafsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Sjöberg in the 68th minute of the match. Peter Gustafsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Sundberg in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Holmsund got a corner. Real Madrid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. John Åberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arne Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Gustafsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Holmsund's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
